Belgian Universities ranking high

14 Belgian university degrees are ranked within the top 50 of their field in the QS World University Rankings. KULeuven has 8 degrees in the top 50, UGent and UCL (Université Catholique de Louvain) both have three degrees in the top 50.
KULeuven remains the only Belgian university in the overall top 100.
QS World University Rankings is a yearly ranking of universities. QS makes a list of the best universities in the world, the best degrees per field and the best colleges. In total, 36 fields are investigated at 894 universities spread over 60 countries. The academic reputation, the impact of the research, the quality of the education and the reputation of the employer are taken into account.
The 8 degrees at KULeuven within the top 50 of their field are: dentistry (4), philosophy (24), law (30), geography (34), statistics (38), culture and development studies (39), material sciences (40) and pharmacy (43).
At Ghent University, these three degrees are ranked within the top 50 of their field: veterinary (27), psychology (30) and Land and Forest Management (45).
UCL has the following degrees within the top 50: statistics (29), philosophy (31) and economics (45).
