Yes, SIM offers a secrecy agreement template that can be used while discussing a program or project proposal between parties that are otherwise not yet contractually bound.

However, the use of this secrecy agreement is not obligatory and you are free to use any type of non-disclosure agreement that suits your needs best.

Once a party (company or research institute) is part of a program and/or project consortium, this is taken care of by the conditions in the relevant contracts.
