Upscaling of nanoparticle-based silver inks for printing conductive patterns under industrial relevant conditions

The ambition of this project is to prove that actual Internet of Things (IoT) applications with nanosilver-based inks (as developed in the SIM project Met@link) will become part of our daily life.

Two important processes will be tackled in this project:

(1) to demonstrate that nano-based inks can be produced with consistent quality, at large scale and at affordable cost, via a robust and controllable process.

(2) to demonstrate that nano-based inks can be integrated into existing industrial processes without major adaptations, at an affordable process speed and process cost.

The printing environments that will be tackled are screen printing, flexo printing, and ink jet printing.

A low‐cost operational industrial example for any/each of these three printing methodologies is the ultimate goal/delivery of this project, bridging the gap from IoT to IoE (Internet of Everything).

This project is part of:

Solution based processing for printed functionalities.
