Starting in October 2022, the Flemish Supercomputer Center (Vlaams Supercomputer Centrum – VSC) is launching its Lunch Sessions. These two-hour online sessions are scheduled during the lunch break and include three use cases followed by a Q&A from the audience. The first Lunch Session takes place on Tuesday 4 October 2022, from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM CEST. The topic of this month’s session is OpenFOAM, i.e. open source software for computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
During the Lunch Session on CFD, three use cases will be presented. One on promoting research in the field of fluid dynamics by dr. Lilla Kapa-Koloszár, Research Engineer at the von Karman Institute. An academic use case by Florian Wéry, Doctoral researcher & FWO Fellowship at the UGhent laboratory for Chemical Technology (LCT) and last but not least an industrial use case by dr. Ine Vandebeek, Head of R&D @ diabatix, a Belgian engineering software company that specializes in thermal analysis and design.
Who should participate? This event is relevant for scientific and industrial researchers, HPC enthusiasts and governmental officials. Participation is free, but registration is mandatory.
