SIM User Forum & Meeting Materials 2019 on 22.05.2019

Event date:
Wednesday 22 May - 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Flanders Expo - Ghent

During this half-day event you have the opportunity to discover the material innovations within the SIM Programs and to meet up with the materials community in Flanders and beyond!

Just like last year, the SIM User Forum takes place during the Advanced Engineering fair, a new trade show concept based on the creation and production of innovative products.

This makes the SIM User Forum an ideal platform for companies that contribute towards the production of innovative products, technologies and electronics.

We aim for maximum interaction with and participation from industry by foreseeing ample networking time in the afternoon and early evening.

Come and stroll on the materials market, discuss science & engineering in the poster session, listen to our program managers sharing their visions, learn about the latest results in the SIM projects.

The topics this year are

  • Circular Economy
  • Energy
  • Industry 4.0
  • Societal Challenges

In a seperate session IBN Composieten will present five roadmaps:

  1. Adhesive Bonding for Composites
  2. Flame Retardant Composites
  3. Composites for Dual Use: Security & Defence
  4. Lightweight Construction for the Automotive
  5. Circularity of Composites

This year's User Forum is organised together with M2i - Materials Innovation Institute, the Netherlands.
